Telltale has gotten some flack for using the same game engine for the last several entries in their multiple episodic adventure series, but that will all be coming to an end with their next game.

Telltale revealed at SXSW recently a lot of new details regarding their adaptation of Batman, with one of the bits of information being that they are using a “very upgraded” version of the studio’s engine. The game itself will be a 5-episode season, which will have a visual style that is similar to that of The Wolf Among Us and will more than likely be M-rated.

Interestingly, Telltale also revealed that the game will give players multiple opportunities to play as either Batman or Bruce Wayne, though the story will focus more on Bruce Wayne than Batman.

While there is still a lot more information regarding Telltale’s Batman game that hasn’t been revealed yet, we do know that they are currently targeting a Summer release.
