The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, meaning the team has moved full force into the DLC that will be hitting the game over the next few months. The first DLC pack for the MMORPG is all about The Imperial City.

“Located at the heart of the Cyrodiilic Empire, the Imperial City has fallen into ruin, claimed by Molag Bal’s forces. It is comprised of six Imperial Districts, the extensive Imperial Sewers network, and the White-Gold Tower at its center. The dangers of Imperial City and the Sewers below are best suited for small groups of adventurers, but highly skilled warriors have been known to strike out on their own. While exploring and fighting your way through the Imperial City, be prepared to face not only Molag Bal’s forces, but also enemy players from the opposing alliances.”

Tasking players with battling both NPC enemies and other players, you will be fighting the forces of Molag Bal, as well as the many other factions inside of The Elder Scrolls Online. This means Liberate the Imperial City will feature a mixture of PvE and PvP play.

The trailer shows off some pretty intense battles, full of players and enemies at war with each other. One interesting element revealed was that players could stealthily move about the area, looking for opportunities to attack, or skipping certain battles entirely if needed.

There will also be new four player dungeons, allowing you to team up with your friends to take on extra tough challenges. These include The Imperial Prison and The White-Gold Tower.

Of course, as with any major DLC for an MMO, there will be additional items, gear, and weapons added to the game for players to find, collect, and use.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited – The Imperial City DLC pack will be available in-game for 2,500 crowns on August 31st for PC and Mac, September 15th for Xbox One, and September 16th for PS4. It will be free for ESO Plus members.
