The Game Awards 2018 Nominees Announced

Though there are a number of publications that list their own Games of the Year each year, The Game Awards has become accepted as basically The Oscars for video games in recent years. This year, The Game Awards creator Geoff Keighley will be hosting the fifth annual show, and today (November 13) Keighley announced 2018’s nominees.

A few things were apparent in the announcement. For one thing, it’s clear that God of WarMarvel’s Spider-Man, and Red Dead Redemption 2 are the favorites for this year’s Game Awards, as all three games were nominated for numerous categories. The Game Awards will also be giving more attention to eSports this year, with more eSports categories than ever before.
