If you just can’t wait to get your hands on Injustice 2 and are willing to settle for a mobile version of the game, it’s currently available on the App Store and Google Play.  The first Injustice mobile game was pretty good when you consider it’s a fighting game on a phone.

You’ve got all the normal functionality of a fighting game, while playing on a touch screen.  That means you can jump, duck, shoot projectiles, and execute iconic super moves like in the bigger console and PC game.  Of course, this is dumbed down a little bit on mobile devices.  Swiping and tapping allows you to perform combination, while pressing on icons allows you to pull of moves that are a little bit more complex in the main game.

As far as looks and sound, for a mobile game this is pretty damn good.  We got a chance to play a bit of it ahead of this announcement just to test it out.

Injustice 2 is free, but it does offer in-app purchases.  An in-game store allows you to use gems to unlock heroes to add to your team.  You’ll earn gems by playing the game.  This is a mobile title though, there are plenty of opportunities for you to spend real money in the game as well.  We saw some pretty pricey offers in playing for only a short time.  Harley Quinn gold pack that costs $49.99, A power-pack of gems that cost $19.99, and a starter pack that costs $2.99.

You don’t need any of those things to enjoy the game, but it’s pretty ridiculous how much some of these in-game items cost.

The game features a campaign, online arena mode, story mode, and leagues which are coming soon.
