The Ratchet and Clank Movie Has Some ‘Rude Humor’

Even though the Ratchet and Clank movie is aimed for kids, there will be some humor that adults might enjoy too.

As reported by BoxOfficeMojo, Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) has rated Ratchet and Clank as PG. It has “action and some rude rumor“.

Ratchet and Clank made its debut back in 2002. Kids that played the game back in the PS2 days have now grown up. It sounds like the movie will be catering to audiences of all ages, even though it will be primarily aimed at kids.

I do remember there were some subtle jokes in Toy Story that I didn’t pick up when I watched the movie back as a kid. There are lots of other things hidden in old-school cartoons as well. The jokes are subtle but cleverly done.

The Ratchet and Clank movie has a release date of April 29th, 2016 in North America. The film should coincide with the release of the PS4 game. The PS4 game was originally going to be out this year, but had to be delayed.

Hopefully the film can break the mold of video game movies being terrible. The game features the original voice actors so that’s a good thing.
