Telltale promised a shorter wait for The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Episode 4, and it seems like they’ll be delivering. The developer just announced that the penultimate episode for this third season will arrive on April 25th, marking less than a month wait time between it and its predecessor. There will also be a new trailer released tomorrow, April 20th. This season has been a big departure for the series, so it will be interesting to see where it’s heading toward the conclusion.

The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Episode 4 will be titled “Thicker than Water” hinting that the family dynamic will continue to remain center stage for this episode. New series protagonist Javi has definitely found himself and the rest of his group in some hot water by the end of Episode 3, so we’ll see how he gets out of it, and how his family will be by the end.

Clementine has remained a part of this series, and will possibly play a larger role in the events to come. She’s still been a side character throughout the first three episodes though, so longtime fans have definitely had to adjust their expectations of this new season. Clem went from a focal point to the main playable character, and now is an interesting part of the series, but not a major focus. Her story still has been getting expanded though, so Episode 4 and Episode 5 could be big turning points for her.

Telltale also just released the first episode for their Guardians of the Galaxy series, which I quite enjoyed. Some on the internet have been a bit harsher toward the developer as of late, especially in regards to the engine they continue to use. Batman saw a revamped Telltale engine, but it was not a total rebuild like many had hoped, so problems still remained. These last few series though have looked great and been much more stable than in the past, though they are still far from perfect.
