Titanfall 2 is one week away from hitting PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Like most modern AAA titles, the game will have a day one patch, but those with smaller hard drives need not fret thanks to its anemic file size. According to Respawn Entertainment co-founder Vince Zampella, the Titanfall 2 day one patch will be just 88MB in size.
What exactly is contained in the update wasn’t revealed, but with it being so tiny it is likely just some minor fixes for issues found after the game went gold. In the past we’ve seen day one patches whose file size has been in the multiple GB range, with a few extreme examples that have pushed those with smaller hard drives to their limits. Titanfall 2 thankfully bucks this trend though.
With the launch so close fans are beginning to get excited for the upcoming sequel. A multiplayer tech test took place earlier this year, allowing many to get their hands on the game. While many enjoyed what they saw, there were some hardcore fans who had issues with the changes made to the series. Respawn was quick to respond though, promising improvements and changes based around the community’s feedback. We’ll find out if it all worked out when Titanfall 2 releases for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 28th.
