Respawn is continuing its impressive and free support of Titanfall 2, announcing a brand new Titan and other DLC that will drop in the game on May 30th. Dubbed the Monarch, this new mech will have a brand new upgrade core that will enhance the Titan’s abilities throughout the match. While the DLC hits on the 30th, there will be a sneak peak trailer on the 25th, so check back for that soon.

“Monarch is a mid-range Vanguard-class Titan that can upgrade itself on the battlefield through her unique Upgrade Core,” explains the announcement from Respawn. “Pilots select a path of upgrades and try to survive long enough to reach her final form.”

This upgrade mechanic is new to Titanfall 2, but is actually pretty similar to the extremely popular MOBA genre. Players will be putting resources into upgrading their mech, and all that progress will reset for the next match.

This isn’t the only free DLC though, with the announcement of a new map as well. “Set among the old wreck of the IMC carrier IMS Odyssey, Relic is a worksite where Pilots have created clever wall running routes by hanging pieces of the wreckage between buildings. The map consists of the wreck of the Odyssey in the center of the map that splits the two town areas.”

On top of this free mech and map there will be some paid DLC, including two new Prime Titans. For all the details, click the link above.
