PlayStation France got a chance to interview both Nolan North and Troy Baker on working on Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
As you may know already, Nolan North plays Nathan Drake in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End while Troy Baker plays Sam who is the character’s brother.
Near the end of the interview, Baker said that this is the “biggest and best” Uncharted game ever. He also went on to say that this is his most anticipated game to play in 2016.
Earlier in the interview, Baker talked more about the character he plays. He says the game will explain where Sam has been and why he’s never entered Nathan’s life until know. The two brothers have not seen each other for 15 years.
He also mentioned this new game wants you to go back and play segments of the second and third games again. He said Sam and Nathan both ran around the streets as kids before Sulley came into Nathan’s life
PlayStation France asked the pair which scene is their favorite from the Uncharted series. North found it to be a very question to answer as he couldn’t pick a specific scene. Baker liked a scene in the first game plus the scene in Uncharted 2 where you are getting chased by a truck.
Baker elaborated that there are many turns to the story of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and it will be hard for fans to predict what is going to happen. He also mentioned Naughty Dog and everyone has spent more time developing the new game than any other previous Uncharted and even The Last of Us.
North also mentioned working on this game is like performing in a theater. This is all thanks to the number of performance capture scenes that were required to do. There was more work to be done than just providing a voice.
North funnily said he’s really bad at playing the Uncharted games himself. Baker is an actual gamer so he’s excited to play Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End as evident by the statement saying it will be the best one of the entire series.
