According to a new rumor, Ubisoft is set to reveal Splinter Cell: Blacklist at E3 2012, with a release of the title following in January 2013. The title which has been known as Splinter Cell 6, is known to be in development at Jade Raymond’s Ubisoft Toronto studio.
E3 would be the perfect place to unveil this game, eventhough it won’t be much of a surprise to those that follow the gaming industry closely. NeoGaffers have claimed to have seen promotional material for the game, and claim that it appears to be a sequel to 2010’s Splinter Cell: Conviction.
You won’t have to wait long to find out if Ubisoft will or will not reveal the title at E3 2012, their press conference is on Monday, June 4th. Since that’s just days away, we’ll know soon enough about this highly anticipated return of Sam Fisher.
The big questions is whether or not the Splinter Cell franchise will return to the stealthy roots of the long running series, or continue down the more action-oriented gameplay that was introduced in Conviction.
