Naughty Dog has hinted that it could be holding an Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End multiplayer beta in early 2016 sometime.

Naughty Dog’s Eric Monacelli spoke on the game and more during an interview with Gamespot (via The Games Cabin) at PAX Prime over the weekend.

Gamespot asked Monacelli if the developer would be hosting a multiplayer beta for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. They also wanted to know if there is a date set for it as well.

Monacelli said Naughty Dog has not set a date just yet, however more information on the beta will be released very soon. He then later clarified that the beta is coming soon and we should know a date for it very soon too.

It’s likely the beta will be held in early 2016 closer to the game’s actual release date. Naughty Dog has concentrated mainly on the single player portion of the game first. The developer is still early in development for the multiplayer side.

Naughty Dog has mentioned in the past that it will still make the multiplayer in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End as meaningful and beautiful looking as the main single player campaign.

Betas are very important in this day and age of gaming since many AAA video games have suffered botched launches. Hopefully Naughty Dog won’t have any problems next year.
