Upcoming Titanfall Update adds new mode, burn cards, and more

The next update for Titanfall will feature a brand-new game mode, new Burn Cards, Titan insignias, Titan OS Voices, enhancements to the game’s matchmaking and other features.  One of the largest updates to date, Respawn Entertainment has recently outlined the features on the Titanfall Blog.

Dubbed “Update Four”, this upcoming update for Titanfall will introduce the Marked for Death gamemode in the new Featured Game Mode playlist.  In Marked for Death, a player on each team will be marked for death, the objective is to kill the enemy mark while protecting your teammate.  It sounds like a spin on the classic President Mode that we’ve seen in other shooters.

Respawn also says that 14 new Burn Cards will be added to multiplayer.  Some of these cards will add amped weapons to the Titan arsenal.  These Titan Burn Cards will only be lost if you die as a Titan, as opposed to dying as a Pilot.

Titans will also be able to be customized with Titan Insignias.  A slew of emblems can be unlocked by completing challenges, and those that you’ve already completed will be available immediately.  Titans will be able to be further customized with unique OS Voices, introducing three options to choose from.

There’s a bunch of other features due out in the update, you can check them out on the official page.  Titanfall just recently saw its first bout of DLC for the shooter with the Expedition multiplayer map pack.

Respawn says that Update Four is “coming soon.”
