Thanks to PAX West, Bandai Namco did a livestream for Tekken 7 and it showed a bit more of the story mode. The stream shows Akuma in action.
The footage shows Akuma having some beef with Heihachi and the cinematics look epic. The fight is quite visceral and some blood effects even appear on the screen.
The cool thing is that the playable fight in Tekken 7 transitions seamlessly. Akuma does a Hadouken that transforms into the actual fight that gamers can get to control.
In the fight itself, there will be some quick time events that pop up. The fighters also continue to talk trash as well. The added effects make the playable fight appear more like a choreographed movie than just a normal video game.
You will be happy to know that the video is spoiler free so you can watch it safely. Bandai Namco appears to have done a lot of work on the story mode in Tekken 7. This is why it’s taking a long time to come out.
The game will be released for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One platforms in early 2017. It will have several new fighting mechanics, characters and more. You can check out the video below for more.
