Another Game Awards means we get another Death Stranding trailer. Hideo Kojima’s upcoming game is just as mysterious now as it has been in years past, and yet every tiny piece of content opens up the world, showing us Kojima’s genius in its full glory. The new trailer is over seven minutes of footage from totally new pieces of the game, and we get some idea of just what the hell might be going on here.

Opening with Norman Reedus explaining that the world was created by an explosion, there’s apparently another one coming that will end all life this time. The trailer then goes on to take us through a total mindfuck as we watch Reedus deal with invisible foes, protect a baby, and get submerged deep underwater. He then sees the floating figures we’ve seen before, this time above a huge crater, hammering home the explosion motif.

Norman Reedus and Hideo Kojima then took the stage, bringing up the cancellation of Silent Hills, their previous collaboration. Saying that nothing will end their partnership this time, now we just have to wait and see how long it takes for Kojima to finish this game up.

I’m not going to pretend to know what the hell happened in this whole trailer, so check it out below and let us know what you think.
