It appears that WWE 2K15 will only be made available digitally for the PS4 and Xbox One. It sounds like the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game will only be out in retails stores with no digital version.
This notion came from WWE 2K15 Community Manager (Jared Rea) who said on the official forums that the game will be available digitally for PS4 and Xbox One. He interestingly left out the fact that the game will be out digitally for PS3 and Xbox 360.
Here’s exactly what he wrote:
“WWE 2K15 will be available digitally for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, no date set on when it’ll be available for a digital pre-order. We’ll make an announcement as soon as it happens for sure.”
This could mean the PS3 and Xbox 360 of WWE 2K15 will only be released as a physical disc. This has yet to be officially confirmed, but it’s interesting to note he only mentioned the PS4/Xbox One versions being available digitally.
It will be interesting if WWE 2K15 isn’t out digitally for PS3 and Xbox 360. These days, every game gets a digital release regardless which platform they’re released on.
We should have more information on this once WWE 2K15 comes out October 28th. Hopefully Jared Rea just forgot to mention about the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions when talking about the digital release for the game.
