The Kinect made quite a splash last fall when the motion controller launched with a fairly large catalog of games of varying quality. Dance Central & Kinect Sports were two of our favorites, but since then, things have gotten a little stale. Amidst another strong month for the software titan, Microsoft announced that its getting ready unsheathe a library of Kinect titles that will triple what’s already available.
Mums the word right now on what to expect from first and third party developers, but it is expected that Microsoft’s E3 2011 lineup will have a large portion of it directed at Kinect. And why not? The company has sold 10 million Kinect Motion controllers and with a solidified line-up of games coming for this holiday season, that momentum could increase even more.
David Dennis told Joystiq that “We’ve seen some of the media start to ask the question, ‘When are we going to see more Kinect games coming?” and “As we sat there and looked at it we realized we’ve got a lot of games coming and we’re going to show a lot of them at E3.”
