Call of Duty and Microsoft will continue their partnership going forward with the Xbox One. Announced yesterday at the Xbox One reveal, the Call of Duty franchise will once again get timed exclusive DLC on the Xbox, continuing the partnership between Activision and Microsoft that has brought Xbox players additional content for the shooter one month ahead of on other platforms.
No changes to the current agreement were announced, so it’s assumed that the one month period will continue with Call of Duty: Ghosts on the Xbox 360 and will extend to the new box.
This affirmation of exclusive dlc was hardly the big Call of Duty news at the Xbox One reveal. Activision revealed some of the first gameplay for the new console, as well as a developer diary that discusses the design process for the new Call of Duty.
