The Xbox One sales continue to climb over the course of 2014 as it has surpassed the 1 million unit mark over in the UK. It is also outselling PS4 at the moment too.
MCV reports that Xbox One sales have now reached over the 1 million mark. This has been achieved in just 12 months as the console was released back in November 2013 in many countries including the UK.
What’s even more amazing is that UK retailers say the Xbox One has been outselling the PS4 three weeks in a row now. This is a similar situation over in North America with sales tripling in number thanks to the recent price drop and attractiveness of the bundles Microsoft has been offering.
MCV claims the recent popularity of the Xbox One is thanks to its blockbuster first party lineup. Sunset Overdrive and Halo: The Master Chief Collection leads the lineup. They also say that many people bought the Xbox One to play Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
Retailers over in the UK have also been advertising many Xbox One bundles which has attracted buyers as they lead into Christmas. It will be interesting if the console can keep the momentum.
The PS4 already went pass the 1 million sales mark over in the UK back in September.
