Sony is apparently working with Dark Souls developer, From Software, to bring a PlayStation 4 exclusive to the console. According to a number of reports, the PS4 Exclusive is codenamed “Project Beast”, and could be shown at this year’s E3.
While the rumor should be taken with a grain of salt as it comes from the infamous 4chan message boards, there have been rumblings about a Souls game coming to the PS4. Of course, PlayStation 3 owners will remember the start of it all, when From Software released Demon Souls as a PlayStation 3 exclusive some years ago.
It’s too early to tell if this is legit or not at this point, but last month, Japanese gaming publication Famitsu debunked a number of rumors, one concerning the potential for a new collaboration between From Software and Sony.
The Japanese publication gave the probability of From Software and Sony reuniting for PS4 exclusive a 10% chance of probability. There’s a whole host of alleged screenshots for “Project Beast” that can be seen over on All Games Beta. If Project Beast and Sony’s partnership with From Software is indeed real, we’ll likely get our first concrete details at Sony’s E3 Press Conference.
