A fan says Ticketmaster canceled his Olivia Rodrigo floor tickets 3 weeks before the show and gave him an unmonitored email for help

A TikTok user says Ticketmaster canceled his four floor tickets to an Olivia Rodrigo concert in Philadelphia without sending a single email, and he only noticed while checking his account three weeks before the show. The video has drawn hundreds of thousands of views, as concertgoers flooded the comments with their own stories about canceled orders.

The fan, who posts as @seanedenn, laid out the ordeal in a “put a finger down” style clip, as reported by The Nerd Stash. He says he bought the tickets, got a confirmation email, and later spotted a small canceled label sitting right under his purchase confirmation. His inbox, he claims, had nothing from Ticketmaster about it.

According to the fan, customer service could not tell him what had happened and moved the issue to an email chain. He claims the company only said he had violated its terms of service, and when he asked which term, the reply was that they did not know. The email address he was given for follow-ups, he says, is not monitored.

Plenty of viewers say Ticketmaster has pulled the same move on them

The comment section sided overwhelmingly with the fan, as dozens of users described tickets vanishing from their accounts with little explanation. One of the most liked replies wished there were a way to boycott Ticketmaster and that artists would stop using it, while another user said it was “baffling” that the company is not treated as a monopoly.

Some commenters zeroed in on the vague response he received. One called the unmonitored email address “diabolical,” while another argued that companies should be required to tell customers exactly which rule they broke. A user who said Ticketmaster flagged their account for “suspicious behavior” claimed they were never given an example of what they had done wrong either.

A number of viewers floated a theory that the tickets were pulled so they could be resold at a higher price. No evidence was offered to back that up. However, the idea came up again and again in the replies, with one user claiming canceled tickets get sold twice so that fees can be collected a second time.

Others went straight to practical advice. Several commenters urged him to dispute the charge with his bank, and some suggested filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission or his state attorney general. A few said they now add tickets to a phone wallet the moment they buy them, as it helps them keep an eye on their orders.

His story is one of several recent complaints from fans who say a ticketing giant left them without seats, which a woman also experienced when Ticketmaster canceled her Bruno Mars tickets after she bought them on StubHub. Some viewers also said they miss the days of lining up at a box office for paper tickets.

Several commenters asked whether he had gotten his money back. However, the video does not say, and Ticketmaster’s explanation for the cancellation was not included in his account. The fan has not shared whether the company reversed its decision or offered him replacement seats ahead of the Olivia Rodrigo show.

With the concert drawing closer, the fan could still get an answer if Ticketmaster reviews his case, though he has not posted an update on whether his floor seats will be restored.

Attack of the Fanboy was unable to independently verify Ticketmaster’s side of the story, as this account originates solely from @seanedenn’s TikTok video.
