David Grusch and two other UFO whistleblowers are asking Trump to let them tell the public what they know, and his current waiver won’t allow it

David Grusch, Dylan Borland, and Matthew Brown are leading an unprecedented coalition to petition President Trump for a formal waiver of their government nondisclosure agreements. These individuals claim they possess critical information regarding extraterrestrial life but are currently barred by law from sharing their experiences with the American public.

As reported by the NY Post, the group is now making a direct, public request for the president to grant them immunity and authorization to speak freely about classified programs. Filmmaker and disclosure advocate James Fox has been coordinating this effort. 

He noted that this is a unique moment in history where whistleblowers are making a public plea rather than working through private channels. According to Fox, the president has the authority to provide this protection with the stroke of a pen. He emphasized that these are heavyweight individuals who are willing to reveal what they know if they are granted the necessary legal cover.

The current system does not permit public disclosure of classified information

The current legal landscape remains a significant hurdle for those involved. While the administration recently announced a new legal waiver, it only allows personnel to report UFO and alien-related information to the federal government via the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters. 

This system does not permit the public disclosure of classified information. Because of this limitation, the whistleblowers feel they cannot fulfill their goal of informing the public without direct intervention from the White House.

Matthew Brown, who previously worked as an independent contractor for the defense industry, discussed the gravity of these agreements on the Weaponized Podcast in early 2026. He reportedly revealed details about a secret government program known as Immaculate Constellation, which is allegedly responsible for collecting UFO data from across the government. 

Brown stated, “The NDAs I signed prohibit me from publicly disclosing classified information obtained through my national security work without prior written government authorization, and that obligation lasts for life.” He believes the president has a unique opportunity to lead humanity into a new era of discovery by confirming that we are not alone.

David Grusch, an Air Force officer who served as an intelligence officer at the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency and the National Reconnaissance Office, provided testimony to Congress in 2023 regarding secret UFO crash retrieval programs. Grusch has described the evidence he has personally reviewed as jaw-dropping. 

He stated, “This included photographs and video of the [recovery] operations including the craft and the non-human occupants. And I’ve seen this evidence with my own two eyes.” In a video released by Fox, Grusch addressed the president directly, saying, “Mr. President, give us the authorization and we’re ready to go.”

Dylan Borland, an Air Force veteran, also reportedly provided testimony to Congress in 2024. He described witnessing a massive triangular UFO hovering over a NASA hangar before it maneuvered away at high speed. Borland is seeking the same presidential approval to share corroborating classified evidence. He told the press that the president needs to rip the band-aid off and confirm the recovery of materials and non-human biologics.

Support for this group has come from members of Congress who view this potential disclosure as a significant step toward transparency. Representative Eric Burlison has praised the administration for its willingness to release documents, noting that even single documents from recent tranches would have been considered monumental in the past. 

Meanwhile, Representative Anna Paulina Luna has focused her efforts on the House Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets to ensure whistleblowers feel protected from retribution. While her focus is on creating safe pathways for individuals to come forward, the whistleblowers themselves maintain that public disclosure is the final, necessary step.
