Battlefield 3 creator, Digital Illusions, has held a long standing grudge against the Call of Duty franchise, with Modern Warfare 3 squarely in their sights for this fall. Â Maybe it’s because they believe that they make a better game, yet consumers tend to flock to the competition. Â Then again it could all just be for show. Â This year’s first person shooter showdown, isn’t the first time that DICE has outwardly claimed that Call of Duty and Infinity Ward are an inferior development house.
In Battlefield: Bad Company 2’s, decidely average single player experience, the developer took multiple pot shots at the Call of Duty franchise, more explicitly, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Â The video below is footage from the game, where in multiple instances the developers deals a few low blows to the competition. Â
Unfortunately for DICE, at the time they made this game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 had already gone on to sell millions and millions of copies, with Treyarch’s  follow up, Call of Duty: Black Ops going on having topped them all.
