New Battlefield 3 Video Highlights Frostbite 2 Engine

Very rarely do we ever find the need to pay attention to upcoming releases that are deemed as “CoD killers.” I must say, the more we see of Battlefield 3, the more we are starting to become believers.  EA PWNED, an EA UK web series has just released an all-access look at the new shooter and we’re given perspectives from the developers themselves from the guys at the DICE headquarters in Sweden.

The video highlights the Frostbite 2 Engine, which is just looking more and more amazing. The developers have placed emphasis on the following categories with BF3: animation, destruction, audio, scale (typical of the Battlefield franchise as I’m sure you know), rendering.

The updated version of perhaps the most popular BF2 map ever, “Karkand”, also features in the video. Thankfully, Reddit stacks the two versions up for a side-by-side comparison: Karkand Comparison

The video can be below,  Battlefield 3 is set to drop sometime in November of this year for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
