Thanks to a livesteam that was run by Square Enix earlier this week we now have some brand new footage of Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness to check out. The footage was taken from the stream by DualShockers and shows off over 20 minutes of new gameplay from the upcoming RPG developed by tri-Ace.
Some of the things that are covered in the footage are the game’s combat system and a mechanic called private actions that allows the protagonist to have private conversations with individual characters. We also get a look at the game’s vast environments, which are unsurprisingly gorgeous to look at. The series is known for delivering incredibly-vivid worlds and based on the footage here this game won’t be breaking that trend.
Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness will launch in Japan on March 31 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The game is also set to release in North America next year, as well, though an official release date has not yet been disclosed. The game is set to take place between the events of Star Ocean: The Second Story and Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, which are the second and third games in the series, respectively.
