Ratchet & Clank fans will like a look into how far we have come since the PlayStation 2 era with the latest comparison video between the upcoming PlayStation 4 reboot of Ratchet & Clank and the original PlayStation 2 classic.

The video comes via All Games Beta who uploaded the video which showcases both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 2 versions of Ratchet & Clank. It highlights smiliar areas that were used in both games that has been shown thus far. It shows how far we have come, and how the PlayStation 4 can handle much more than its predecessor. The video culminates at the boss battle for the level where we see the original boss introduction, and the newly revamped one for the PlayStation 4 version against the Blargian Snagglebeast. Check out the video below to see for yourself.

The comparison also shows off the Blargian Snagglebeast’s demise in the orignal PlayStation 2 game, where he fell through a bridge into lava and in the PlayStation 4 version where gets beat up and exposes the scientist who was controlling him. Their both pretty cool, but tthe PlayStation 4 version definitely shows a lot more detail that wasn’t possible two generations ago.

Ratchet & Clank is set to release for PlayStation 4 in 2016.
