Microsoft passes 76 million Xbox 360 sold to date

Microsoft has just put out a new press release containing some of their most recent milestones for the Xbox 360 and Xbox Live. According to the company, they’ve sold 76 million Xbox 360 consoles worldwide, as well as 24 million Kinect cameras to boot.

They also say that of those 76 million consoles, there are 46 million subscribers to Xbox Live. 46 million Xbox Live subscribers indicates a 15 percent increase in growth for the online network which includes both Xbox Live Gold and Silver subscribers.

Among the data, Microsoft also notes that 2012 was the biggest year for the company in terms of entertainment and games usage. They say that Xbox users “enjoyed more than 18 billion hours of entertainment in 2012, with app usage increasing 57 percent year over year. Xbox Live Gold users averaged 87 hours per month on Xbox, which is said to be a 10 percent increase year over year.
