Kevin Federline Says Sons Feared Going Back To Britney Spears’ House In New Book

Kevin Federline shared personal reflections about his family in a new book.

Kevin Federline, who is Britney Spears’ former husband, shares his worries about the pop singer in his new book, which is called You Thought You Knew and is scheduled to come out next Tuesday. Federline writes that he thinks Spears is having a hard time since the legal arrangement controlling her life, called a conservatorship, came to an end. He gives a warning that the overall situation “The truth is, this situation with Britney feels like it’s racing toward something irreversible.” and shares his worries about how this affects their two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

Federline’s new book tells the story of his marriage to Spears, their divorce that happened afterward, and the long legal fight over who would have custody of their children. He says that from his point of view, it has “become impossible to pretend everything’s OK” with Spears.

In his discussion with The New York Times, Federline makes it clear that his main worry has always been his sons’ connection with their mother. He says he has not talked to Spears for years but insists that he has never been against her. “I’ve never, ever, once, been against Britney. I’ve only tried to help my sons have an incredible relationship with their mother. And it’s hard because when I really reflect on everything that’s happened, my kids do not know the woman that I married. And I’ve spent two decades trying to bridge that gap.” he said.

A Complicated Family Situation Becomes Clear

One part of the book describes upsetting events that their children talked about when they were younger. Federline writes that Sean Preston and Jayden James once told him they were scared to go back to Spears’ house. According to the book, the boys said they woke up during the night and found Spears standing quietly in their doorway while holding a knife in her hand. Federline shares their story that she said, “Oh, you’re awake?” before Spears supposedly turned around and walked away without giving a reason.

These stories are presented as part of Federline thinking back on the challenges of sharing parenting duties and the hard times the children went through while growing up in the middle of a custody fight that was constantly in the news. Federline states that he has spent “two decades trying to bridge that gap” between the children and their mother, which shows how complicated their family life is.

Federline also talked about the emotional and mental effect of Spears’ conservatorship and when it ended. He mentioned that even though the conservatorship ended in 2021, the changes in Spears’ life and daily habits may have created more confusion for the children. We love celebrity lives, and while there are sad stories like this, at least we see happy times from Eminem’s daughter and her recent announcement.
