‘It’s Incredibly Stupid’: Ruby Rose Defends Taylor Swift Against MAGA Claims, And The Real Reason Behind The Attacks Is Exactly What Trump Wants

Ruby Rose just called out Taylor Swift critics with two words: "incredibly stupid."

Ruby Rose has jumped into the debate about Taylor Swift with a strong message for her critics. The actress posted on Threads to defend Swift after people online accused the singer of supporting MAGA ideas following the release of her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl. Rose called the claims propaganda and said the accusations had no truth to them.

Swift has been getting criticized since The Life of a Showgirl came out in early October. Fans and critics have complained about different parts of the album, from the lyrics to claims that she used AI-generated images in her visuals. Some accused Swift of making a diss track about Charli XCX, while others said her merchandise was poor quality. But Rose wanted to separate fair criticism from false claims about Swift’s political views.

In her Threads post, Rose was clear about where she stood. “Given her public position against Trump, and his against her. If you are falling for the propaganda ‘Trad wife’ ‘X,y,z’ claims, you are most definitely walking into the biggest man made, rage bait, black hole. Stop it,” she wrote. “It’s not true, and it’s incredibly stupid.”

This Debate Matters More Than You Think

Rose said she has spent time with Swift personally, talking about social justice and world problems. She refused to even say Swift’s name next to hate groups, saying the connection made no sense. The actress argued that people were mixing up different kinds of complaints, from how rich Swift is to what she writes in her songs, and then wrongly linking all of it to MAGA beliefs.

People had mixed reactions to Rose’s defense. The top comment on her post said, “You can’t be doing much social justice if you can’t see that your billionaire friend is part of the problem.” Other people debated whether Swift’s lyrics had problems in them, with some Black women saying they spotted microaggressions while others completely disagreed.

Rose kept responding to comments and talking about different concerns. When someone brought up Swift’s private jet use and how much money she has, Rose replied, “Girl. We are having two different conversations. You’re talking about her jet and I’m talking about the claims she is hateful. These are not comparable.” The worries about Swift’s merchandise quality have been growing, with fans recently getting broken items and asking if they got scammed.

One person commented that people turning against Swift was exactly what Trump wanted to happen. Rose seemed to agree with this idea, mentioning that Swift has been known to quietly help causes and give money to people in need.
