‘I Work My Ass Off’: Trump Calls Millions Of ‘No Kings’ Protesters A Joke, But What He Said About George Soros Reveals His Real Fear

Paid protesters? That's his excuse for 2,600 events in all 50 states?

President Donald Trump spoke out about the huge “No Kings” protests that happened across America over the weekend. He called the protests useless and said he thinks someone paid for them. Millions of Americans showed up at around 2,600 events in all 50 states. Big crowds filled the streets in cities like Washington, New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

Trump talked to reporters on Air Force One while flying back to Washington from Florida on Sunday. When asked about the protests, he said he is not acting like a king and talked about how hard he works for the country. He also said the protesters do not represent most Americans and thinks rich liberal donors paid for everything.

As per The Hill, Trump said he is not a king and works his “ass off to make our country great.” He also called the protests “a joke.” He said the people protesting were “whacked out” and the events were “very small” and “very ineffective.” But reports show there were actually large crowds in many cities across the country.

What Really Got Him Talking? The Signs.

Trump spent a lot of time talking about who he thinks paid for the protests. “I looked at all the brand new signs paid for. I guess it was paid for by Soros and other radical left lunatics,” Trump said. He was talking about George Soros, a billionaire who gives money to liberal causes. Trump said his team was “checking it out” to find out who really funded the protests.

The New York Police said more than 100,000 people joined protests across all five parts of New York City on Saturday. Police in Washington, Chicago, Los Angeles, Houston, Boston, Atlanta, Portland, and Austin all said the protests were mostly peaceful. There were no big problems or arrests in any of these cities.

House Speaker Mike Johnson said the protests were just meant to take attention away from the fight over government funding. He told that he hoped Democratic leaders who went to the marches would be more willing to work with Republicans after the protests. But he did not sound like he really believed that would happen.

Trump also did an interview on Sunday Morning Futures that was recorded before the protests happened. In that interview, he again said he is not acting like a king. “They’re referring to me as a king. I’m not a king,” he said during the show.

This was the second big “No Kings” protest against the Trump administration since June. People were worried the marches might turn violent, but Saturday’s protests stayed peaceful all day. This happened while the government shutdown was still going on.
