Disney World Guests Thought They Were Witnessing A “Medical Emergency,” But What Authorities Just Confirmed Is Tragic

That's not normal for any resort

Something very bad is happening at Walt Disney World in Florida. In only ten days, a few people have died there. The government doctors who check how people died have confirmed the most recent death . This means that three people have now died at the Disney resort in less than two weeks.

The most recent incident happened at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. A TikTok video posted Thursday morning showed a lot of police officers around a pool area that had been blocked off with tape. People at the scene first thought they were seeing a medical emergency. The user who posted the video wrote, “We were told it was a ‘medical emergency.’ Prayers to the family & those involved!” But what authorities have now confirmed is much more tragic than guests first thought.

The Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the death to TMZ, saying that they are “still in the process of completing our exams” on the person who died. No other details about the victim or what happened have been shared yet.

This Is The Third Death In Just Over A Week

This latest tragedy comes after two other deaths on Disney World property that happened very close together. On October 14, a reported suicide took place at the Contemporary Resort. The person who died was identified as 31-year-old Summer Equitz. Less than a week later, on October 21, another body was found at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.

The person found at Fort Wilderness was reportedly a man in his 60s who had a medical episode. Police have said that they do not suspect any foul play in that case. Having these incidents happen so close together has worried guests and the public, similar to how viral incidents can show unexpected dangers.

Disney has not yet replied to requests for comment about these incidents. The company has stayed quiet as investigations continue into the deaths at both its Florida and California parks. The medical examiner’s office is still working to find out the exact causes of death in these cases, while families and the Disney community wait for answers about what led to this sad series of events.

There was also a separate incident at Disneyland in California on October 8. A woman in her 60s was found not responding on the Haunted Mansion ride. Paramedics came to help, but the woman was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
