Donald Trump Receives A Golden Crown From South Korea And His Response Is Exactly What You’d Expect From A Wannabe King

A crown? You couldn’t script it better!

During his Wednesday visit to South Korea, President Trump got some fancy gifts from the country’s leaders. They gave him a golden crown and an important medal as a way to show respect and appreciation.

According to The Hill, the South Korean President, Lee Jae Myung, handed Trump the Grand Order of Mugunghwa. This is the biggest award South Korea can give to anyone. Along with that, Trump also got a copy of an old gold crown. These gifts were given to thank him for trying to help make things peaceful between North and South Korea.

When Trump got the medal, he said it was a “great honor” and told everyone he “would like to wear it right now.” He was finishing up his trip around Asia when all this happened.

Trump Clearly Enjoyed All The Attention And Gifts

Trump spent Wednesday in Gyeongju, a city in South Korea, where he went to an important meeting called the Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum. People usually just call it APEC. During his time there, he shared some big news about business deals between the two countries.

He spoke to news reporters and said that America and South Korea had “pretty much” finished working out a trade agreement. Trump told them they “reached a deal” and worked on “a lot of different things” while talking together.

He seemed happy about how things went and called it a “great session.” Trump also said “we came to a conclusion on a lot of very different items.” This news came at a time when Trump’s trade policies with China remained tense.

Around the same time Trump was heading to South Korea, North Korea decided to test some cruise missiles. When people asked Trump what he thought about this, he did not seem worried at all. He pointed out that North Korea has been “launching missiles for decades” and said this was just “another missile that was launched.”

Trump has mentioned several times that he might meet with Kim Jong Un, who runs North Korea, while visiting Asia. But nobody knows for sure if that meeting will really happen. On Wednesday, Trump told reporters that he and Kim have a good “understanding of each other.” People are paying close attention to how these two leaders get along, especially after recent military incidents involving North Korea.

South Korea was the last place Trump visited on his Asia tour. The golden crown and medal were meant to thank Trump for what he has done in the region, especially his attempts to improve things between North and South Korea.
