The White House aired what it described as an “unapologetically American” video during Sunday’s Super Bowl halftime show, using a fast-paced, 30-second clip packed with AI-generated imagery and overt patriotic themes. The spot featured brief appearances from Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, alongside a series of digitally created scenes designed to feel deliberately loud and theatrical.
The video opened with a blunt declaration from the narrator, “We don’t do subtle,” before cutting to two AI-generated fans in New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks gear, their jaws dropping as Air Force One thundered over a sold-out stadium.
According to Mediaite, the setting then shifted inside the aircraft, where a mock announcement informed viewers the plane was “flying over the Gulf of America.” Moments later, the sound of a screeching eagle accompanied footage of President Donald Trump signing executive orders, closing out the clip with a heavy emphasis on spectacle and national symbolism.
The video delivered a bold message about American confidence
The narration said, “We bet on ourselves and don’t apologize for winning.” The video showed quick shots of a race track, a Trump rally, and fighter pilots taking off from a Navy ship. Vice President JD Vance appeared smiling during a speech before the narrator said, “we say what we mean and we stand by it.” Secretary of State Marco Rubio then appeared on screen and said, “If you don’t know, now you know.”
The video ended with the line: “We are fully, proudly, and unapologetically American.” The final scene was an AI-generated image showing President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump watching fireworks over the Washington Monument. This is not the first time the administration has faced criticism for controversial video posts.
The White House posted the video on X just before Bad Bunny’s halftime performance. This timing matters because Bad Bunny had publicly criticized President Trump’s ICE raids the week before during the Grammy Awards. His comments drew strong applause and thrust the issue into the national conversation ahead of his Super Bowl halftime performance
The video got about 750,000 views in the first hour, according to the platform’s view counter. The administration has been making several major enforcement moves, including recent changes to federal agent deployment in Minneapolis. While the video aired during the Patriots-Seahawks Super Bowl in Santa Clara, California, President Trump was not at the game. He posted on Truth Social, saying he hoped everyone was enjoying The Big Game.
