Dak Prescott’s fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos, recently shared a cryptic message on social media just before reports began circulating that the couple had reportedly called off their engagement and upcoming wedding. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback and Ramos were believed to be just weeks away from a destination wedding in Italy.
Ramos, a wine specialist, posted a carousel of photos from her bachelorette party weekend in the Bahamas on Instagram. The images showed her celebrating with a large group of female friends during what appeared to be a lively beach getaway. Everything looked like a normal pre-wedding celebration on the surface.
“I truly believe you can get through anything in life as long as you have really great friends. I love these girls so much ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥,” Ramos wrote. The message stood out because it sounded unusually reflective for a bachelorette trip. Soon after the post appeared, reports surfaced claiming she and Prescott had ended their engagement and canceled their wedding, according to People.
That Instagram caption suddenly makes a lot more sense
Reports that emerged on Saturday, suggested Ramos called off the wedding during that same Bahamas trip. The situation became even more surprising because Prescott was reportedly also in the Bahamas at the time. He was celebrating his own bachelor party nearby, meaning both of their pre-wedding trips were happening simultaneously.
The couple had first been publicly linked in September 2023, and their relationship progressed quickly from there. Prescott proposed in October 2024, and the pair soon began planning a destination wedding in Italy. Prescott, who is often mentioned among the top players in the NFC East, was expected to walk down the aisle this spring before the sudden reports changed everything.
Despite the reported split, Prescott and Ramos still share a young family together. The quarterback, who is 32, and Ramos have two daughters: Margaret Jane Rose, who is two years old, and Aurora Rayne, who is nine months old. Recent reports indicate the two are now focused on co-parenting their children.
Some of Ramos’ earlier comments about their relationship now stand out when looking back. In a December 2024 interview, she spoke about how becoming parents had changed their relationship and priorities. Parenting, she explained, naturally shifts the focus away from the couple and toward their children.
“Obviously, parenting brings a new element to your relationship because it’s not about you two anymore, the priority is your child,” Ramos said at the time. She also shared that raising children together helped them understand each other on a deeper emotional level.
Prescott had expressed similar feelings months earlier while discussing fatherhood. During an August 2024 interview, the Cowboys quarterback said becoming a father had “changed my world.” He added that he takes the responsibility of raising children very seriously.
For now, neither Prescott nor Ramos has publicly commented on the breakup reports.
