Offically, Major League Gaming has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Riot Games’ League of Legends will be featured in this year’s MLG Winter Season. The company announced the partial lineup in a recent press release, but tweets from the MLG CEO and cofounder have also indicated that Blizzard’s StarCraft II will also be added into the mix.

“The Winter Season includes games built for competitive play, an event format and production level unparalleled in the industry and a passionate global fan base that continues to grow. Combine that with our TV-esque online broadcast, and we have everything needed for MLG and eSports to dominate the entertainment industry and appeal to an even broader audience,” said the press release.

While the third game hasn’t been officially confirmed by MLG at this point, a series of tweets from Sundance DiGiovanni indicate that it will be StarCraft II and Blizzard’s Heart of the Swarm expansion. The Winter Season for MLG will close out with the Winter Championships in Dallas, TX where competitive gamers will fight it out for a $50,000 prize.

I mean how can you not have StarCraft II in your Winter Season, just look at the video below, competition at its finest.
