Hitman fans have been anxious to see what is next for the genetically engineered assassin and have been receiving the mobile treatment for his past two iterations. This time, he is set to make an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con, in the flesh…sort of. The next Hitman movie is set to make an appearance at the event.

A new Hitman Movie has been in the works for a while due to the mixed reception for the first movie starring Timothy Olyphant. Now 20th Century Fox has the sequel/reboot lined up for 2015 with Zachary Quinto (Heroes, Star Trek) as the titular bald and bar coded character. The movie itself is simply titled “Agent 47”. The official panel synopsis, which is really a synopsis for the movie, is as follows:

‘Agent 47′ with Zachary Quinto and Hannah Ware

Synopsis: Based on the top-selling, award-winning videogame franchise, ‘Agent 47′ is an all-new motion picture about an elite and genetically engineered assassin, known only by the last two digits – 47 – of a barcode tattooed on the back of his neck. His latest target is a young woman on the run from powerful and clandestine forces. The mission brings startling revelations about the lethal agent and his prey, hurtling them on a collision course with their pasts. And this time, his number may be up.

At least we know the leading lady will also be on hand at the panel. The panel will take place during 20th Century Fox’s panel in Hall H on Friday, July 25th from 4:20 PM to 6:20 PM PST. What do you think about the story for the next entry in the Hitman movie franchise? How about the casting of Quinto as Agent 47? Personally, as an avid Hitman fan I will wait to judge until I see a trailer.
