Gamers are anxiously awaiting each and every patch and update coming to Assassin’s Creed Unity almost as much as they initially anticipated the game’s release. The fourth major update, appropriately titled Assassin’s Creed Unity Patch 4, was set to hit some time today, but has been delayed by Ubisoft for quality control reasons.
Rigorous quality control is of paramount importance to us
While we didn’t know exactly what this update was supposed to fix, it was said to be a big one, improving and fixing some of the many issues that have plagued the game since launch. This includes online and matchmaking problems, as well as overall game stability. Hopefully whatever issue is holding up the release can be worked out soon so that players can get back to assassinating historical figures with less bugs. Â Take a look at the full announcement below, and be sure to take note of the irony in the first sentence.
Rigorous quality control is of paramount importance to us, and your feedback over these past weeks has indicated that it is important to you as well.
As stated last week, we’d expected to release the patch today (and we know that many are anticipating its release), but we are choosing to hold off until we can give you the improvements we’ve promised. We are committed to delivering major performance improvements, which requires that we refurbish the Paris map and that will take a few more days to hit the high level of quality our players deserve.
Thank you very much for your understanding and continued patience.
