Last night, Bandai Namco Games finished up their showing at the Jump Festa event with a bang, by revealing the localization of two games to the US, one of which was a major bombshell that many certainly did not expect based on history.
The less surprising announcement was that One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 would be coming to the US on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PS Vita, and PC. The shocking announcement was that J-Stars Victory VS+ would be joining it stateside, the first for the teamup series.
Shonen Jump has long been a weekly magazine release in Japan that features many of our favorite and most recognizable anime from over the years, including Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece. The Jump Stars series has taken many of the most popular characters from the series featured in Shonen Jump over the years and put them into one fighting game.
J-Stars Victory VS+ is the latest of the group, this time coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita with a roster that includes characters like Goku, Naruto, and Luffy. The news that this series is finally coming to the US is huge for many gamers that love these series and have had to import in the past. Even better, this will be the first time that the game comes to PlayStation 4 as well and will include a special Arcade Mode that the Japanese release was lacking.
