The early-2015 release of the Visceral Games’ developed cops and robbers spin-off for the Battlefield franchise, Battlefield: Hardline, is in the home stretch for development.  Steve Papoutsis, the GM at Visceral, has put together an outline of what’s to come in the weeks ahead for those wanting new details about Hardline, including more talk about a second beta for the game.

“The improvements the team has added to the game with the extra time are making Battlefield: Hardline the complete first person shooter experience we set out to deliver,” reads a letter from Papoutsis who also acknowledged “pointed feedback” from the first beta.  “There will be another MP beta for all platforms that will showcase a small slice of the game and will also help us continue to test stability as we prepare for launch.”

No concrete dates were given for the second Battlefield: Hardline beta access, but a new post on the Hardline site says that new details about the shooter will be arriving every Wednesday.  Next week should see that specific date come to light.

Battlefield: Hardline is slated for release on March 17th for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Most of the criticism that fans had about the initial reveal of Battlefield: Hardline was that it wasn’t much different from Battlefield 4.  And, it was released during a time when Battlefield 4 was still very much broken for a lot of players.  Visceral has vowed to have a more stable launch for Hardline than we saw with BF4, hopefully this upcoming beta helps.

A new trailer for Battlefield: Hardline was released earlier this week.
