If you want to play PSOne and PS2 games on PlayStation Now, you may have to wait for a long time for Sony to include them.
PlayStation Now is only available in North America at the moment and allows gamers to stream full PS3 video games. If you have a reliable and stable internet connection, you can play entire PS3 video games by streaming them using PlayStation Now. This eliminates the hassle of storage space and waiting times when you have to download full games.
The main criticism for users of PlayStation Now has been the price and lack of games. PS3 games are cool, but many people want to relive the magic of the older PS2 and PSOne games as well.
Director of Marketing Peter Jamshidi answered on the PlayStation Blog that PSOne and PS2 games are part of “our longer term vision” for PlayStation Now. He said right now they are focusing on the “amazing PS3 library“.
This is sad news for gamers that want to play older video games on PlayStation Now. It sounds like we will have to wait a longer time to play PSOne and PS2 games on the service.
The good news recently about PlayStation Now is the previously announced subscription plan. For $20 per month or $45 every three months, you can steam all the games you want. Much more affordable than paying up to $30 to play one single game for only 90 days…
