343 Industries continues to add back the features they removed during the worst of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection issues. Today’s update brings back the Halo 4 and Team Hardcore playlists to matchmaking, adding some additional options for those looking to expand their Halo experience. Team Hardcore currently offers players some Halo 2 Classic game types, with Halo 3 elements planned to be added in later. There are many more changes coming to Halo: The Master Chief Collection in future updates though, with 343 both adding in features and fixing the ones that still have problems.
The Halo 4 and Team Hardcore playlists are now available in Matchmaking
In terms of playlists, 343 has plans to add in fan favorites like Team Snipers, Team Doubles, and an objective-only option. Which playlists will become permanent fixtures in the game is largely based on the player data received during the trial run. If you are a fan of a particular option it might be best to focus on it for a while after it launches to be sure 343 knows that the community wants to keep it around.
On the bug and general issue front, 343 is still working hard to patch up the experience from the broken state in which it launched. “Our next content update is now targeting a late weekend release in order to conduct additional testing. This content update will include improvements to UI, Matchmaking, game-specific multiplayer items, controls, and more.”
In other Halo news, the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta is still ongoing, with only a few days left to try out the game.
