The official Dragon Ball Xenoverse website recently updated itself giving us more information on several game modes and its battle system too.
The main hub for Dragon Ball Xenoverse begins in Toki Toki Center. From there, you will be able to access the game’s many modes. There is “Free Battle” where you can engage in 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2 and even 3 vs 3 battles. There is also the training mode where you can practice your skills and move sets.
The main story mode is called “Time Patrol”. This is where you encounter the DBZ warriors to help restore the timeline. The other mode here is called “Parallel Quest”. This is where you travel to the Dragon Ball timeline as part of the Time Police. This is like a RPG-type mode it sounds like as you can use power-ups to make your character stronger.
A cool thing about the battle system in Dragon Ball Xenoverse is that you can give your character “customizable combos”. You are free to choose your own attacks to make your combo look cool.
If you are playing the game with a partner, you can assist them when they are down or revive them too. You can also use a HoiPoi capsule to replenish health, energy and Ki. You can even leave a comment to your partner too.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse has a health, Ki and power bar. There are four types of attacks in the game and they are: Super, Ultimate, Flying Attack and Throws. You can guard in the game, plus there is a guard break too.
A big thanks goes to ShonenGameZ for translating everything from the website from Japanese to English.
