Hideo Kojima revealed a few new details about Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain at the Taipei Game Show last weekend.
Twitter user JunkieHQ translated and compiled most of the interviews that Hideo Kojima did at the Taipei Game Show. Metal Gear Informer picked out all of the juicy parts. Kojima had a lot of new things to say about Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
An interesting part about Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is that the dynamic weather will directly affect the gameplay. A unique feature is that enemies will take shelter if it’s raining. Enemies will be closer to buildings, so you have to keep this in mind while playing.
Wildlife will also be a part of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain as well. Unlike in Metal Gear Solid 3, you cannot eat animals. Instead, you can capture and transport them back to Mother Base. Some animals can be of “use to you” later in the game.
Kojima admitted that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is the toughest game he has ever developed. This is due to the new Fox Engine that had to be made for the game, plus restructuring of the studio as well.
Lastly, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will have flashbacks to allow new players to understand the story more.
