Ubisoft Admits Assassin’s Creed Unity Wasn’t Perfect

Ubisoft has now admitted that Assassin’s Creed Unity wasn’t a perfect game when it came out late last year.

If we reverse back to November 2014, this was a bad time for Ubisoft. Assassin’s Creed Unity was virtually unplayable for many gamers thanks to a lot of bugs and glitches. Ubisoft had to release multiple different patches in order to fix the issue.

As reported by Kotaku, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot talked more about Assassin’s Creed Unity’s launch at the company’s conference call.

Guillemot blamed Assassin’s Creed Unity’s problems was mainly because they were transitioning to the newer consoles. Because of this, they had to “redo 100% of the engine“. He said it was a painful experience for the developers. He then said when the game launched, “a few things were not perfect“.

He said with Assassin’s Creed Unity’s engine now finished, it will help future Ubisoft games shine in the years to come. He feels with the bad things they experienced last year with 2014, the next Assassin’s Creed game should be better as they have now learnt from their mistakes.

The next Assassin’s Creed game will be using the same engine that powered Assassin’s Creed Unity. Let’s hope the next game isn’t a mess when it comes out.
