Pokken Tournament was revealed last year after many rumors circulated about the existence of a Pokemon-based fighting game. We’ve learned more about the game in recent months, but mostly have come at events with less than stellar footage for us to examine after the fact. Luckily, Bandai Namco Games have now provided us with a brand new trailer for the game through their official YouTube page.
While first thought to probably feature only Fighting Type Pokemon, we were pleasantly surprised to learn that Bandai Namco Games were going to think outside of the box with this one and make it a full fledged Pokemon fighting game, regardless of the types.
Within this trailer, we see the first Pokemon that were revealed with Lucario and Machamp duking it out, while we also get plenty of footage of the more recently announced Pokemon like Suicune, Pikachu, and Gardevoir. In addition, we get a glimpse at the assist Pokemon, such as Lapras, within this trailer.
The trailer also reveals that the game will be coming to arcades sometime in 2015, but hopefully we will also see a release on Wii U as well at some point, preferably later this year.
