Naughty Dog has admitted in the past that they are targeting 1080p and 60fps for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Although it could be likely they will settle for only 30fps now.

Play UK magazine had a chance to play the latest demo build for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. In the latest issue of the magazine, they state that it’s more than likely Naughty Dog will settle for only 1080p and 30fps. This is according to their own observations from playing the game.

This isn’t a full confirmation, although it seems likely Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End might settle for only 1080p and 30fps. This is because Naughty Dog loves to animate beautiful and big levels for the Uncharted games. If the game is to be 60fps, they might have to sacrifice the look of the levels just to double the frame rate.

Speaking of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Play Magazine also noted that the AI partners will be smarter and won’t act like “idiots”. The magazine states it feels like you are with a real sidekick. The AI partner they experienced was Nathan Drake’s brother named Sam. It’s possible Drake will be partnering up with other characters as well in the full game.

Anyway, there is still several months of development left for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. We’ll just have to wait and see what the final resolution and frame rate will be. The demo Play Magazine played was just 1080p and 30fps.
