Cortana Will Be In Halo 5: Guardians

Cortana will have a role in Halo 5: Guardians according to Mike Colter who plays Agent Locke in the new game.

Colter was interviewed recently on IGN, where he admits Cortana will be in Halo 5: Guardians.

Colter said Agent Locke transitions from a Spartan to become a “super soldier“. He says he plays a huge role in the game, but “Master Chief and Cortana” will both be involved in Halo 5: Guardians.

Cortana being in Halo 5: Guardians has surprised quite a few people. She “died” in Halo 4, so naturally people assumed she wouldn’t come back. Her involvement in the next game means she might be revived in some way.

Gamespot reached out to Microsoft to see if they could shed more light on the topic. They chose not to comment any further about Cortana being in Halo 5: Guardians.

Cortana is an AI, so there could be a way she can come back in Halo 5: Guardians. She has also been one of the more popular characters in the franchise, so maybe 343 Industries decided to being her back.

We’ll just have to wait and see how Cortana is brought back when Halo 5: Guardians comes out later this year.
