Even though Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is a great game in itself, most people bought it solely to get access to the Final Fantasy XV demo.
As most of you will know, the only way to play the Final Fantasy XV demo was if you bought an early copy of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. Square Enix isn’t going to give away the demo for free on PSN or Xbox Live in the near future. It doesn’t look like they are going to offer another demo for the game either, as they are set to just update the one we already got with some improvements.
Buyers of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD were able to answer a survey on what they felt about Final Fantasy XV’s demo. One of the questions were why did you buy Type-0 HD in the first place? Square Enix announced the results of the survey recently. A whopping 80 percent of Type-0 HD buyers got the game solely to play the Final Fantasy XV demo.
Square Enix was smart to do this as Final Fantasy Type-0 HD shipped over 1 million copies. The game might not have been so successful if the Final Fantasy XV demo wasn’t bundled with it. That being said, Type-0 HD is an excellent game in its own right.
