It’s hard to believe that we are only a few months from the one year anniversary of the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which also means that we are rapidly approaching the release of Halo 5: Guardians in October. The Master Chief Collection has still been consistently adding content and now it sounds like one of the most requested playlists of all may be coming soon.

In the latest Halo Waypoint blog, a variety of different topics are discussed, but one of the most interesting was the talk of the future of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

When talking about the playlist team for the game, it was said that “it’s quite likely that we’ll be talking more about things like Infection in the coming weeks.”

This if fantastic news, as Infection is one of the most popular game modes of all from Halo 3 and could definitely shake up the online multiplayer found on The Master Chief Collection.

There was no indication given on just how soon this could be coming, but based on their consistent release of updates, it wouldn’t surprise me to see it sooner rather than later.

What other playlists would you still like to see added to The Master Chief Collection? We are still missing an official Grifball playlist, so hopefully that will come soon as well.
