Star Wars Battlefront is one of the most anticipated games of the upcoming holiday season, and it continues to look better and better around every turn. After an initial tease not long before, a brand new game mode has been revealed that will take flight.

Star Wars Battlefront is known for its on the ground gameplay that has defined the series in previous entries and from what we’ve seen thus far. However, as we told you yesterday it appeared that EA was teasing an X-Wing related game mode that would be quite different.

That is exactly what they did with the announcement of Fighter Squadron mode for Star Wars Battlefront. This comes directly from the official EA Star Wars Twitter account that made the initial tease prior.

The announcement tweet was as simple as it gets by saying “We’ve got fighters incoming!” A very short teaser was also attached to the tweet under the title “Fighter Squadron Incoming,” where we get to see very quick gameplay as an A-Wing, Tie-Interceptor, and of course an X-Wing.

The point of the tweet and video is to say that you should subscribe to the EA Star Wars YouTube account for the official reveal very likely around EA’s Gamescom conference tomorrow, so we’ll have to stay tuned until then. The teaser video itself can be seen below.
