We are still a day away from the first Nintendo Direct since the passing of Satoru Iwata, but Nintendo has decided to give us something a little early that you would have thought they’d show off there. That is Nintendo Badge Arcade, which previously released in Japan late last year but is now available in the US.

Nintendo Badge Arcade released in Japan under the name Collectible Badge Center, as a free-to-play style game for the Nintendo 3DS that allows you to earn collectible stickers, aka badges.

Badges can be earned in the game through crane style games, which are done in this free-to-play style. You get five free plays per day, but these are only for a practice machine where you earn practice badges. After earning 10 of these, you get one free play towards real badges. Otherwise, you will have to pay for plays at $1 for 5 total plays.

After earning these badges in Nintendo Badge Arcade, they can be used to outfit your home screen on the 3DS in some way. These badges span a ton of different series, so there are plenty to earn.

You can download Nintendo Badge Arcade right now on the Nintendo eShop and start earning badges right away.
